Monthly Updates:
1/09/07 - The 50% design review meeting for this project will be held January 10, 2007.
2/12/07 - The 50% design review has been held and the drawings are currently being reviewed by Customs.
3/15/07 - The drawings are currently being reviewed by Customs.
4/18/07 - The drawings are currently being reviewed by Customs.
5/08/07 - The drawings are still under review by San Francisco and Washington Customs.
7/31/07 - The US Customs and Border Patrol is reviewing the 90% construction documents. Their comments are expected to be received by mid August.
9/10/07 - The 100% review construction documents are to be issued September 7, 2007 for final SLCDA department review and to SLC Building Services and Licensing for plan review and construction permitting. Review documents will also be sent to US Customs and Border Protection officials for final approval. Construction documents are 99% complete with final document
completion expected by September 26, 3007. Bid documents will be available to contractors on October 1, 2007. Construction is anticipated to begin November 21, 2007.
10/08/07 - The bid opening for this project is scheduled for October 31, 2007. Construction is anticipated to begin November
21, 2007.
1/09/08 - The Contractor has begun project demolition work at the secondary screening area where a new waiting area, offices,
laboratory and holding cells will be built. Demolition work at the concessionaires' conveyor belt is also underway in the basement.
3/31/08 - The Contractor has completed the wall framing and the wall finishes are underway. The millwork installation is scheduled to begin April 1. The baggage carousel and freight conveyor are scheduled to be ready for testing April 4.
5/13/08 - Final finish work is being completed on the facility. Substantial completion is scheduled for May 15, 2008.
