New Airline / Charter Information
Salt Lake City is a world-class tourist destination, home to the “Greatest Snow on Earth,” and a gateway to five national parks and 42 state parks. Salt Lake City is also a major business destination with a thriving and diverse local community.
Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) has opened the first phase of a totally new airport. Additional phases are currently under construction with new gates opening in 2023, 2024.
Those interested in starting new air service at SLC can request an information packet about commencing operations at SLC. For new scheduled service, an operating agreement, security bond and insurance (acceptable to the city), and an operating certificate must be in place before operations can commence at SLC. Transient carriers are required to provide insurance and security bond acceptable to the city before commencing operations.
