This project consists of the construction of the deicing pad west of mainline Taxiway L and connecting into Taxiway L1. Bid documents for this project are currently available to bidders. The bid opening will be held on February 17, 2010.

This project consists of the construction of the deicing pad west of mainline Taxiway L and connecting into Taxiway L1. The bid opening was held on February 17, 2010. The apparent low bidder is Granite Construction. Due diligence review is in process.

06/08/10
The Contractor has completed site clearing and grubbing. Current work in progress is excavation and removal of unsuitable soils, placement of cobble, soil stabilization fabric and aggregate back fill materials.

07/27/10
Current work in progress is excavation and removal of unsuitable soils, placement of cobble, soil stabilization fabric and aggregate backfill material. Installation of underground utilities has begun. Placement of lean mix concrete will begin the first week of August.

10/13/10
Current work in progress includes installation of underground utilities, portland cement concrete pavement, channel drains, in-pavement taxiway centerline light base cans and conduit. Construction for this project is ahead of schedule.

1/12/11
Concrete paving and channel drain construction is complete as of November 5, 2010. Underground utilities and airfield electrical lighting systems are 50% complete. The scheduled construction shutdown for the winter began the week of Thanksgiving.

This project is in winter shutdown until mid March, 2011.

No update.

4/12/11
The Contractor has resumed work after the winter shutdown. Work is currently taking place widening and sealing the PCC pavement and is approximately 30% complete. Cache Valley Electric is currently coring and installing fixtures on the centerline light cans.

Construction for this two year project is nearing completion. Remaining work includes installation of a glycol recovery pump station, removal of excavated material, asphalt paving of deicing pad shoulders, and commissioning of Taxiway L1 and deicing pad lighting system. Anticipated completion for this project is Septemer 30, 2011.

10/13/11
Construction for this two year project is nearing completion. Remaining work includes installation of a glycol recovery pump station, removal of excavated material, asphalt paving of deicing pad shoulders, and commissioning of Taxiway L1 and deicing pad lighting system. Anticipated completion for this project is October 31, 2011.
