Transportation Security Administration
There is a security screening checkpoint in each terminal at Salt Lake City International Airport.
Security screening checkpoint hours are:
- Terminal 1: open 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Terminal 2: open 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- International Terminal: closed until further notice
Please note that times are subject to change.
TSA Pre-Check™ is an expedited screening program for eligible, low-risk passengers. Hours of operation are:
- Terminal 1: 4:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Terminal 2: 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Salt Lake City International Airport's Pre-Check™ Enrollment Center is located in Terminal 2 and open from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Monday through Friday. For more information on additional enrollment centers and to apply, visit www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck.
REAL ID-Compliant Identification
The original deadline of Oct. 1, 2020, for Utah residents needing a REAL ID-compliant form of identification to board a commercial flight has been postponed. More information will be provided when available.
To determine if a Utah driver license is REAL ID-compliant, look for a small star inside a gold circle and the outline of the state of Utah with the words, “UT USA” in the upper right-hand corner. The presence of the icon and words will indicate that the driver license is REAL ID –compliant.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection
U.S. Customs and Border Protection offices are in the International Terminal at Salt Lake City International Airport.
Operating hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. For details on Global Entry, visit: www.globalentry.gov.
Salt Lake City's Global Entry Enrollment Center is open 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Interviews must be scheduled in advance.
