Doing Business with the Airport
Educational Sessions Planned About Doing Business at the New SLC
The New SLC is still a few years away from opening its doors, but an orientation process about doing business at the new Airport is about to begin.
The Salt Lake City Dept. of Airports is offering an educational session to help businesses understand what is required to operate a concession at the Airport. The public solicitation process for selection of concessionaires at The New SLC will begin in about one year.
Operating a business at the Airport is unique in that it is a city-owned facility that is largely regulated by the federal government in a highly-secure environment. In addition, there are limited opportunities for concessionaires to enter the Airport due to limited space, low turnover and long lease terms.
A two-hour community outreach session is scheduled to begin in March and will be repeated periodically throughout the year. Following is a list of dates and times. Unless otherwise noted, the sessions will be held at the Airport Training and Activity Center (ATAC), 1911 North 2200 West (Google Map directions here). Additional repeat sessions will be scheduled in April, May, June and July. Please check the website for schedule changes, cancellations and/or additions.
