Volaris continues to expand its international network in the United States with the launch of a new nonstop route between Guadalajara, Mexico, and Salt Lake City, Utah. The new service to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) will begin operations on June 1, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, Feb. 3. The Salt Lake City International Airport has been included in a list released by the Federal Aviation Administration of U.S. airports that may experience a reduction in flights beginning Nov. 7, 2025. The Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) is hosting an Art Open House to highlight the latest large-scale art installation titled “Swallows in Flight.” Delta Air Lines, in partnership with the Utah Inland Port Authority and Salt Lake City, will be investing up to $18 million to develop a state-of-the-art air cargo hub at Salt Lake City International Airport, the airline’s key Mountain West hub. The new Delta Cargo facility, which will undergo a full renovation and modernization after having previously been occupied by the United States Postal Service, will replace Delta’s current air cargo home at SLC and will significantly improve cargo operations. The Salt Lake City Department of Airports held a ribbon cutting this morning to mark the opening of 10 new gates and six additional concessions as part of The New SLC Redevelopment Program.
