Taking a Turn for the Better
A significant detour to two roadways exiting the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is planned in the coming weeks. The first detour—scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 24—will take place to the road exiting the Airport’s parking garage. The second detour—scheduled Sept. 7—will be to Terminal Drive exiting the Airport.
Mayor Jackie Biskupski and the Salt Lake City International Airport today announced a plan to phase out the five smoking rooms currently in use in five concourses at the airport.
Drivers at Salt Lake City International Airport can expect an extra turn on Terminal Drive exiting the airport as construction on the Terminal Redevelopment Program moves forward.

SLC to Add North Concourse
The Salt Lake City International Airport is planning to build a $740 million concourse north of the existing terminal to accommodate forecasted growth and to replace aging facilities.
Two new facilities were constructed to service rental cars as part of the Terminal Redevelopment Program.
